I got a call from someone saying I had PPI with a few banks. When I asked which ones, they named three banks I've never dealt with. Got a call from this number today. The person on the line had an English accent, but it definitely wasn't from the UK. They wanted to know if I'd ever dealt with some specific banks. When I asked for their identity, they just ended the call right away.

This number rang me a moment ago. The caller claimed to be from RedStar, saying they were sending me a letter. When I asked for the address they had on file, he just replied "Close." He brought up MBNA and Lloyds at some point. I asked again what the address was and he got a bit defensive, saying he'd already told me twice and then just said "Road." I told him to remove my number from their system, which he repeated and promised to do.

Over the past day, i got calls from three different numbers, the last one being this. I looked up the numbers online and turns out they are all linked to the same kind of annoying spammy calls. I've blocked them all now but i'm sure more will pop up soon. anyone know why these callers keep pestering like this??

i was getting loads of calls, like seven in one day. but when i checked my voicemail, none of them were actually from that number, they were from mates i know. i rang three to ask about it and they were just blaming my phone. i even called myself from my landline and the caller id showed that weird number too. so i reset my network settings on my phone and it looks like thats fixed it for now. curious what network people are on, might be related!

About five mins ago, got a call from some bloke claiming he was ringing from Red Star down in Manchester. He said they’d been trying to post me some documents but kept messing up the address. Oddly he mentioned an old place I lived nearly a decade ago! Then he started asking if I’d got a credit card, a car insurance, or even a mortgage with them. I told him no to everything and he just ended the call straight away. Bit strange if you ask me.
