Caller claimed my computer was sending them my data and warned I'd be disconnected if I didn't comply. I just told them, "If you cut me off, that'll be the third time. Stop pestering folks and find a real job," then ended the call. They rang me again, threatening to come round as they apparently know where I live. I simply replied, "Get a proper job," and hung up.

We’ve been getting calls a lot from this number for the past few weeks, like multiple times each day. They say they’re from BT and threaten to cut off our internet. Thing is, we’re not even BT customers. I rang BT myself and they told me there’s no chance they’ll be stopping our service. Sounds like a dodgy call centre just trying to scare people.

I got a call from a woman with an American accent, said she was from BT and warned my internet was being cut off today because it’d been hacked in California. I’m definitely not a BT customer. I can see how this kind of thing would really freak out elderly people though.
