5 yearsI picked up the phone and noticed the caller didn’t say anything straight away, then suddenly a recorded voice came on saying I was facing legal action over unpaid taxes. It claimed if I pressed a button, I’d be connected to HMRC to sort it out. I hung up right away and rang HMRC on their official number to double check - they had no idea about any of it. Pretty sure this was one of those usual broadband spam calls trying to scam people.HMRC9 yearsGot a call from someone called Julia who had a funny accent and somehow knew my name and postcode. She was going on about TV maintenance and said she was from Homeserve. Thing is, we don't even have a telly, so it was a bit pointless.
