It was BT Technical calling me, so I just ended the call right away.

A woman with an Asian accent called me up, saying I was entitled to a £299 refund for some tech services. I just ignored it and didn’t bother following up.

I got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming he was from BT's tech team dealing with my internet issues. I told him I didn't believe he was really from BT, and then he just ended the call.

This guy rang up saying he was from BT's tech support and somehow knew my name, phone number and even my address. He said he needed to chat about my broadband. No idea how he managed to gather all that info. I told him I didn’t have broadband and he just ended the call. Very suspicious.

If you’re not supposed to be at that location, definitely don’t pick up the phone if you get a call claiming to be from the DWP fraud team!

I got a call saying there was a problem with my internet and they wanted to help me remove some "bad" files that were apparently downloading onto my device. They only spent about 4 minutes after I switched on my computer before asking if I was using Windows or a Mac. When I told them I actually run Linux, suddenly they shouted something like "mr [my surname], you’re a m#####8##er" and then just cut the call.

Got a call but no voicemail, so not sure what it was about.

Somebody called asking for £4000, I told him he was nuts and warned I’d report him to the fraud squad. Then he tried giving me his info, like I’d believe it and pay up. Yeah, right!

I tried calling the number I got from 1471, but when I rang it, I was told it wasn't recognised.
