Was about 1:45 in the morning when my landline buzzed, thought it might be a family member calling. Instead, I got some really brusque voice of an Asian bloke, couldn’t understand a word he was saying so I just told him to jog on.

This morning I got a call from this number. The person on the line sounded Asian and was hard to understand. He claimed to be from Microsoft Windows and wanted to know if I was sitting at my computer. When I asked him for his name a couple of times, he just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Windows, asking about my Windows computer. Told them I don’t own one, and then they asked if I even have a laptop. I said no again and asked what this was about. They just said yes and then cut me off. By the way, I’m with TalkTalk too.

They called claiming to be from Microsoft, saying my computer had been sending them error reports.
They then told me to turn on my PC and hit the Start menu.

Next, they wanted me to type www.fix.us into the search bar. I asked what should be displayed, and they said some text would show up.

When I saw the words, they asked me to read them out loud.

I replied with “F*** off” instead, which made them start shouting and hurling threats for a few minutes.

Since I’m with TalkTalk, I’ve now blocked that number for good!!!

Got a silent call earlier, and a lady just said goodbye before hanging up. Happens sometimes, though I can’t tell if it was this exact number last time.

Somebody phoned claiming to be from Microsoft tech support, saying my computer was under threat from hackers. They refused to give any specific company info though. They wanted me in front of my computer so they could supposedly email me instructions.

Someone saying they were from TalkTalk phoned me and told me to switch on my computer. I pretended to go along with it for a bit, then I blew my whistle into the phone and ended the call. They rang me again and called me a tosser for cutting them off. I’ve had 3 calls with no sound yesterday from this number and 3 more today.

Got a few calls from this number earlier today. Missed the first one, but when I checked 1471, that same number showed up. About thirty minutes later, they rang again, but it was dead silent, so I flagged it as a nuisance call with TalkTalk. Right after I ended the call, they called me back straight away. This time, an Indian lady answered. I told her I knew it was a scam and that I had already reported them. I hung up before she could say anything else.

Got a call this morning around half past ten from someone saying they were with TalkTalk. They mentioned having my TalkTalk ID and said they needed to fix a virus on my computer. Seemed really genuine, but watch out - it's a tricky one!

This number kept ringing me three times today, at 9, 10, and 11 in the morning. It’s really annoying since I work night shifts and they kept waking me up. After I said it wasn’t the real TalkTalk, they just told me to sod off. Proper pain, that one.

Got a call earlier claiming to be from Windows about my computer. I simply told him I don't own one, so I just ended the call.

I got a call from a number that seemed to be computer dialling, then they passed me over to someone with an Indian accent. The number was 002615084801, so I blocked it straight away. But less than 10 minutes later, another call came through from 02615084801. Bit sneaky of them, changing the number like that. Just went ahead and blocked this one too.

Got a call on my work line from some scammer claiming to be from Windows. I instantly guessed the scam and played along, acting like I was following his instructions. When he asked me what showed up on my screen, he started calling me a load of names, saying “b****** b******” like he was insulting me. Then he outright called me a bastard before abruptly hanging up. The call came from 001212528237 around 11 in the morning on Monday 23 November 2015. Since this is a business number registered on the preference list, I reckon the call was from overseas. At least I managed to waste his time a bit.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Windows support saying I had an issue with my PC. I told them this kind of scam is already widely known here in the UK. They quickly ended the call. Never give these people control over your computer!

Got a call today and as soon as I picked up, there was silence and then it just cut off. No one said a word.

Got a ring from this number, some bloke claiming my laptop was infected with a virus! Total rubbish. Asked him how he even knew that, but he just talked over me. So I told him to jog on and warned I’d report him. Then he cut the call! No shock there. Tried calling back but the number didn’t come up on my phone. Fishy as hell!
