So this person said they were from the Accident Helpline and were calling about an accident I supposedly had. I asked for their registered office address and their Companies House registration number since I wanted to check their directors. They just ended the call straight away.

They rang me earlier today, same old rubbish. Luckily my new CPR call blocker V5000 made it easy to block with just one press. They tried calling back but no chance. Proper satisfying to stop them! Highly recommend this gadget, just google CPR call blocker.

This one was pretty much like the others people have mentioned. The guy said he was Ronnie and spoke with an Asian accent after that usual automated pause. The call quality sounded weird, kinda like it was coming from far away. He said it was about an accident I'd had before. Since I've been in a few, I asked which one he meant. He told me to say it again, I repeated myself and then he just cut the call straight away.

Got a call on my landline after they ring my mobile twice yesterday while I was at work and couldn't answer. Some guy with a really unclear Asian accent said he was from some Accident claims firm. I told him I hadn’t been in any accident, but if they kept calling, one might just happen!

I recently got an unsolicited call from the number 0257 896 3145, even though I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service. The person on the line had a definite Indian accent and claimed he needed details about an accident I supposedly had recently. The trouble is, I haven’t been in any such incident lately! When I pressed him for more details about his identity, he stated he was representing Accident Helpline Services, stating they operated from 113 Newton Street, Manchester M1 1AE. He also provided me with a Manchester contact number: 0161 478 5031. When I inquired whether he complied with TPS regulations, he abruptly disconnected the call. This makes me wonder if identity theft might actually be the motive behind this unsolicited outreach.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian/Pakistani accent claiming to be from Accident Claims. Didn't let him carry on tho, just told him to take me off their list and not ring me back. I kinda expected how this call was gonna go. When I picked up and said my number, there was a short pause before a guy with a thick Indian or Pakistani accent spoke. He asked if he was speaking to me by name, and I said yes. Then he asked how I was doing, gave his name which I didn’t catch, and said he was calling from Accident Claims, asking if I’d been in a car crash lately. I told him "No", and he just ended the call. I’d had another call just like this a few weeks ago.

Got a call from an Indian man, didn’t catch his name, said he was with Accident Claim or something like that. He asked how I was, but I was already irritated from having to rush downstairs for the phone (was expecting a family member). Somebody said someone in my family had an accident, I freaked out for a moment but then it hit me when he quickly switched to saying we could get compensation! No hello, no who he was or where he was ringing from, just straight to "someone’s had an accident". I told him how ridiculous that was, he just chuckled and ended the call!

They were asking about an accident that happened over a year ago, like 18 months ago or so! I found the number using 1471. But when I tried calling it back, it just went straight to voicemail. Got a call from some accident help people claiming I could get compensation for a car crash I never had. They kept insisting I must’ve been in one and could claim for a tiny injury! Their English was terrible and super pushy, so I asked them to remove me from their list (yeah right). They wouldn't give up on selling their stuff, so I finally told them to bugger off. Sometimes you gotta be blunt with these scammers, seems like the only way to deal with them.

Got a call on Friday night, 10 June, from someone with an Indian accent. They claimed they’d spoken to my missus about some accident I had, but their speech was all over the place so I just ended the call. Then, the very same number ringed me again on Saturday, 11 June, same accent, saying they’d talked to me the day before about my accident! Suspicious if you ask me.

Got a call around 7pm on 10th June 2016. Some Indian woman just said "bye" then cut me off. So frustrating!!

Totally a scam about an accident cos I never had any crashes. I just hung up as soon as they mentioned accident claims.

Not sure really. I just keep my answerphone switched on all the time, that usually puts them off. Then I tried calling 1471 to check.

They said they were from some accident claims dept. I told them I hadn’t been in any accident and they just hung up on me.

this bloke said he was from some accident helpline, asked if I’d been in an accident or knew any family who had, I said no and he just ended the call straight away.
