Got a call saying it was from HMRC and that they were taking legal action against me. They already had my name and address and asked me to verify my National Insurance number. When I asked what the number actually was, they refused to tell me. They also told me to ring the legal court myself. The call sounded like it came from somewhere in Asia. Definitely seemed like a scam, so I’m planning to get in touch with HMRC to report it.

Why is HMRC keeping ringin me up? They said somethin about a lawsuit but when I picked up they told me to press no if I wanna talk to a case worker. Who even are these people? It’s mad that nobody can just shut them down already.
