It was a pain trying to block them because they kept changing the ending. When I finally picked up, some bloke with an Indian accent was going on about me owing money to the tax office. I was proper freaked out and ended up shouting a rude word at him before slamming the phone down.

Watch out when they ask questions - if you say yes, they’ll use it as proof you agreed to payments or bought stuff from them. It’s pretty dodgy because as soon as someone says yes, they just hang up straight away! When they ask who you are, just reply with your name instead of anything else.

They always have my name ready, but the moment I say yes, they just hang up. Sometimes when I pick up, they do the same and disconnect right away. Seems like they’re trying to do some kind of survey, but they’re so annoying I’m often slow to answer. Got a call from someone claiming to be from Eon about owing nearly £900. They said I had to cough up over £400 straight away. When I asked for proof or anything to back it up, they just cut me off. Totally dodgy, definitely a scam.

They called me for the fourth time in just three days and when I told them I didn’t want to say my age, they just got really rude and ended the call.

Early on Saturday morning, I got a call that sounded like it was from some faraway call centre. The caller didn’t explain who they were or the reason for ringing, so I just figured it was a scam and hung up straight away.
