I've been receiving calls incessantly from this number. On the Monday of the first week of January, they rang me twice. The following day, I had another call, and then today, Wednesday, I answered. However, it was a struggle to make out what the woman was saying-there was an awful lot of background noise; it felt like I was interacting with a colossal call centre. She claimed to be from Eon Energy, but when she attempted to check my accounts, she got my mobile number wrong-she mentioned a number ending in XXX, which had no relation to me at all. I pointed out her mistake and promptly hung up. I gather that Eon Energy now operates under the name Eon Next. So, is this simply nuisance calls or what?
