I recently had an encounter where someone rang me up, claiming to be from my internet service provider. For a moment, I was nearly convinced by what they were saying. But when I tried to contact them again, the number seemed to be disconnected. It left me rather bewildered. After doing some digging, it became clear that this was nothing more than a cunning scam.

The moment I mentioned I hadn’t got a clue who was calling, they just hung up straight away.

Beware! They switch their number every day, so it’s impossible to track the scam.
