got this weird american robo call all distorted saying i needed to get in touch with hmrc about some urgent stuff!

I got a weird voicemail saying it was from HMRC but the voice sounded all robotic and off. When I rang the number back, some bloke just answered with a simple “hello” - didn’t really seem proper for HMRC at all. He wanted my phone number or my lawyer’s contact and said he was calling from his London office. I mentioned that the number was actually tied to Coventry, and then he just cut me off. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

Today I got a call from this number, the person said they were from HM Revenue but the voicemail was really unclear. When I called back, a lady picked up, asked for my name and then the line just went dead.
