I’m getting bombarded with unsolicited calls from telesales chaps who seem to think they’re doing me a grand service by “helping” me save some quid, when in reality, all they want to do is line their own pockets. It’s baffling how they persist in ringing during working hours, so I tend to just let the phone ring off while I’m busy. Yet, despite my firm refusals, they seem utterly clueless about the meaning of 'no' and just won’t take a hint. I’ve even pleaded with them to erase my information from their records, but lo and behold, I’m still on the receiving end of three calls each week! This surely borders on harassment and ought to be considered unlawful. I can’t help but wonder whether these individuals feel any sense of pride in their so-called profession when they head home after a long day of pestering people.
