Someone said they were from BT Openreach, but I knew it was dodgy. I was stuck at home sick and got a bit curious, so I went along with it. The woman told me there was a problem with my line causing broadband issues. She said the fault was near the router and insisted I had to buy a new one. When she asked for my card info, I just fed her a bunch of made-up numbers, said cheers, and ended the call.
