Got a second ring today, but from a different number - already flagged the first one. Picked up my landline and heard a recorded female voice with a US accent saying my Amazon Prime yearly subscription was about to renew for £39, which would be taken from my bank. Press 1 if I wanted to stop the payment. Total scam, no way I’m falling for it - I don’t even have Amazon Prime. The call came from a Hartlepool area code, which just adds to the dodgy vibe. Plus, the number isn’t even a regular mobile or landline, super fishy all round.
