7 yearsGot a call from a woman speaking with a strange accent, claiming she worked for some global internet monitoring group. She insisted my computer was broadcasting weird signals. I played along for a bit but told her I’d never hooked up any internet gear here (which is total rubbish since I do use a PC). She just said "Oh" and cut the call. What rubbish do we have to deal with these days! Don’t know what she was planning next, but I lost patience and ended the conversation.7 yearsBlocked straight away!7 yearsGot a call from a guy with an Asian accent, said his name was Harry, claimed he was ringing from some group, can't really remember which. He knew my name and address, and told me I’d won a prize that’d be sent in a few days. Asked about my energy supplier and if my bill gets paid by direct debit. That’s when I just ended the call.Harry7 yearsGot a call from what looked like a spoofed number, some foreign woman on the line. She couldn't really get what I was saying - must've been some dodgy marketing scam. Also, she kept asking for someone with a totally wrong name, so yeah, no doubt about the scam part of it. :-)7 yearsnot sure who it is, but ive been getting calls from this number nearly everyday for the past couple weeks. looked it up here before blocking it. thanks to everyone who shared their info!7 yearsGot a call from some Indian bloke named Kevin claiming to be from U Benefits, sounded like a total scam trying to get my info. Yesterday, they rang an Indian lady who seemed a bit unsure and quickly ended the call. Definitely feels dodgy.Kevin7 yearsHello, got a ring today and just like others mentioned, some Indian lady asked for my name and before I knew it, she was trying to pitch insurance to me. I quickly told her to stop and hung up. I did a bit of digging afterwards and found out what company it was, so now I just ignore all their calls.7 years6419521 - this number is really annoying and feels quite threatening. despite blocking it multiple times, the calls just keep coming. and even after reporting it here and other places, they don’t seem to stop. if everyone worked together on this, maybe we could finally put an end to it.7 yearsI told them to imagine if I nicked cash from their mum, what would they think of that?
