On 10th June 2020 at 8:53 am, they rang up an elderly person who’s quite vulnerable.

I got a call from someone saying they were a manager for Data Compliance and said they could put an end to all the annoying calls I’ve been getting. They already had my bank details and postcode, and then asked to set up a direct debit for £184. Thing is, I’ve never dealt with these folks before at all.

Got a call from a woman named Anna, she actually mentioned my postcode and said something about me getting loads of marketing calls. I told her that wasn’t the case, and then she just hung up on me.

They claimed they would stop all the annoying calls, but I just hit block on my phone and that was the end of their calls!

This person said they could block all annoying and scam calls, but as soon as I hung up, my phone rang right back! Strange thing is, the call came from a totally different number the second time and they even joked about the line cutting off. Quite odd really.

I let the phone ring without picking up to see if anyone would drop a voicemail, but there was nothing. After having a look at the reviews here, looks like it’s just another dodgy scam call.

She said she could help block annoying calls, I just told her to hang up since she was one of them! Then total quiet, I laughed so hard before she finally ended the call 😂

After the lockdown, it looks like they began working again. I got loads of calls from them over winter. They say they can block spam calls, but ironically, their own calls are exactly that - unwanted sales calls. When I ask questions like "What's your company called?" or "Where exactly are you calling from?", they never give a proper answer. Plus, the way they speak makes me think they’re calling from abroad.

I got a call from an Asian lady who used my name and asked if I'd been getting loads of annoying calls. She said they could help stop them. I told her to send something in writing first. Then she asked for my bank details, which really set me off, so I told her exactly what I thought and hung up. I'm baffled why BT still lets these landline calls go on - they should be doing more to stop them too.

Sounds like they're working off some ancient list of phone numbers for their scams or sales calls. I've had this number as a business contact for like five years, yet they kept asking for whoever had it before me.

Just got a call moments ago, they asked for me by my last name, calling me Mr something. I said it was me and they asked if I was having a good day. I knew right away it was one of those tricks to get you talking, so I ended the call straight away.
