If they’re employed by Solihull Council, why are they ringing folks who live like 300 miles away just to ask about council stuff? Seems a bit odd to me.

No idea as they didn’t leave a message but from what I’ve read from others, it seems related to some work happening in the West Midlands area - I’m up here in Scotland so they’re a bit wide of the mark! I’ll just block it!

I received a call from 02476238413, and the caller mentioned they were collecting information regarding counter-terrorism efforts in the locality. As soon as she uttered that, I decided to end the conversation. Quite odd, really!

Protel Fieldwork are doing several research surveys at the moment. Our evening survey runs from 3pm and involves calling local people on behalf of the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) to find out how they prefer to travel around the West Midlands area. Another survey runs 24 hours from 9am to 9am, reaching out to both businesses and locals about their opinions on crime, working for central government. This number called me on my phone and I figured it might be something important since I’m pretty careful with who I share it with. I couldn’t answer at the time and there was no voicemail left. When I called back to see who it was, I got a message saying “Their voicemail is full. Try again later” which seemed quite dodgy to me.

I received a peculiar phone call earlier. It struck me as rather strange that she wouldn't disclose her location or the specific organisation she was affiliated with.
