I’ve been approached by a certain motor market wanting £79.95 to list our car for sale. They even sent over the details via fax, which struck me as quite odd. The correspondence felt overly aggressive, and I noticed that the name at the end was David Baker. This all seems rather suspicious, doesn’t it? I can't shake the feeling it might be a scam of some sort.

A company just phoned us from Motor Market here in the UK, requesting an 80 quid deposit to pass our information on to a 'buyer' for the car we’ve got listed on Autotrader. It certainly raises our suspicions, feeling quite like a scam if you ask us! Plus, seeing the varied numbers referenced on this site only adds to our unease about the whole affair. Seems a bit dodgy, doesn’t it?

The company claimed that to pass our information to the "purchaser" for our car listed on AutoTrader, they required £80. It reeks of a scam in our opinion, and posting on this site with various phone numbers seems rather dodgy as well!
