5 yearsI got tricked by the same woman trying to sell a furnished flat in Wrexham, Flintshire. She gave the name Anita Lawson, and being new here in the UK, I didn’t check enough. She pretended to represent Anderson Solicitors and Grant Rosemarie Solicitors, ringing me from 07780055149. She said she’d moved to Cardiff to be with her daughter because she was unwell. Offered this fully furnished one-bedroom place, with all bills included, said she had other tenants interested too. Asked me for a deposit to view, then kept requesting more money. Eventually I looked up the solicitors and her name, and plenty of scams showed up. I lost cash and I bet she’s off celebrating for conning someone else.WrexhamFlintshireAnita LawsonUKAndersonGrant RosemarieCardiff9 yearsI can't believe it... good thing I looked up her name first. Spent ages chatting with her/whatever it was today. She said her solicitor would send over a draft tenancy agreement on Monday morning before the viewing. Something just didn’t sit right with me, can’t explain why, just a hunch I guess.9 yearsShe tried the same trick on me and my family just this weekend! Asked for a £600 deposit and got really rude when I said no to sending anything. Lucky we stayed sharp! Honestly, some people are just awful.10 yearsGot a call from someone called Rosemarie about a house for sale, but something felt off. The price was way too low, especially for the spot I’m interested in. Also, the pictures of the inside didn’t line up with the outside view I saw on Google Maps. Plus, she never bothered to ask me anything about myself, which seemed strange. After a bit of digging, I realised she was recycling the exact same story with others. Big thanks to everyone who’s been flagging this!RosemarieGoogle10 yearsI just got off the phone with her, she told me there's a 2-bedroom place in Clacton. But after seeing all this, I'm really surprised she’s keen to meet up first thing tomorrow!!!Clacton10 yearsSo my mate, who’s only 18, had just a couple of weeks to get out of her place. She’s already got £500 off this woman, and now my friend’s left with nothing - no cash, no place to stay. Is there any way to find this person, assuming it’s a woman? Honestly, I just hope she faces some sort of karma for what she’s done to loads of others like my mate.10 yearsMe and my partner got a call from someone named Rose Marie, who tried to con us into agreeing to buy a property we never even saw. Thankfully, we caught on before we gave her any cash. She's definitely trying to scam people, so watch out!Rose Marie10 yearsCheers for sharing this, I’m dealing with a Rosemarie Grant on Gumtree who’s clearly trying to con me. Your posts have been a real help, thanks a lot.Rosemarie GrantGumtree10 yearsWe recently put up an ad on Gumtree searching for a 2-bedroom place, and this woman named Rosemarie Grant, calling from 442476100705, tried to scam us a few days ago. Be careful if you get a call from this number!Rosemarie GrantGumtree10 yearsHappened exactly the same to me. Did you ever report it to the cops? Has anyone managed to get their cash back? Surely the police can track the phone numbers, emails or bank info she used?10 yearsI got sent the same email from her about a 2 bedroom place in Stockport, Manchester for £595 a month, all bills included like gas, water and WiFi. She wanted £500 upfront, but I told her I wasn’t paying a penny until I actually saw the flat. She then said she’s had loads of people pretending to be others and that I’d be banned from the property unless I paid first, claiming her solicitor enforced it. She also warned if I wasn’t ready to pay right away, I should just look elsewhere to avoid wasting her time! Seemed really pushy to get the cash immediately, so I googled her name since I felt something off. The pictures she sent didn’t look real and didn’t match what I found on Google Maps of the actual place. Plus, the tenancy agreement was clearly faked. I reckon she’s hitting everyone on Gumtree who’s desperate to move, because she messaged me as soon as I posted my ad, asking for my email straight away.StockportManchesterGoogleGumtree10 yearsShe told me she’s been employed at the Beaufort Care Home in Coventry for about five years, which is the reason she’s renting her place. She’s always swapping numbers to fool people.Rosemarie GrantCoventry10 yearsTried calling back but no reply, and when I left a message it said the voicemail box was full.10 yearsWhatever happens, don't get in touch with this number or any other linked to a woman named Rosemarie Grant - it's definitely a scam.Rosemarie Grant10 yearsCould you kindly refrain from calling me daily without a message?
