I just got a weird automated call from 0247519850 claiming I’d spent over £1000 on Amazon, which is odd since I don’t even have an Amazon account. Seems like it’s probably a scam trying to freak people out.

Got a call from Sheila claiming to be with ‘Grants for Homes’. When I asked if they actually look at the TPS register before ringing people like they’re supposed to, she admitted they don’t. I told her they really should start doing it and mentioned I’d be reporting them to the ICO if they carried on like this.

Got a call at 11:53 from a woman enquiring about my loft insulation. She asked when it was last inspected or fitted, but I honestly had no idea. Then she wanted to know if we were receiving any kind of social benefits. I guess whatever criteria she had, I didn’t quite meet it (just my impression). She thanked me for answering her questions and mentioned she was doing a survey. That was the end of the call.

Got a call from someone claiming they were doing ‘market research’ on “home grants”. They told me the government gave them my details - name, number and address. They were offering grants for houses without gas supply. It was a total cold call! I never shared my info or agreed to be contacted for this sort of thing. Reported the whole thing to the ICO.

I got a call from a woman about some government scheme for loft insulation. I’m baffled how they manage to reach me when my number’s supposed to be on the TPS list. Really wish these calls would just end.

loft ~ first time they rang on 2nd 2019. it was a bloke. told him we’re on the do not call list and asked to take our number off their system: 02303745276. then, got a second unwanted call on 4th november 2019 from a woman. again, reminded her we’re registered on the tps and requested number removal from their database: 02475901048.

A call came through on my landline from 02475 901048, which seems to be based in Coventry. The second I picked up, the line went dead. I tried using 1471 to check who it was and called back, but just got a busy tone that never stopped. Feels like they're just trying to spot numbers that are active, probably some sort of spam caller. Legit telemarketing companies usually talk, even if you say no thanks. This mystery caller didn’t say a word, which to me is a definite red flag. I’d classify this as a harassing nuisance call.
