Got a ring from this number earlier, there was a delay before it picked up and then suddenly I heard this weird buzzing noise, kinda like a robot or something, then the line went dead. I've blocked them straight away.

They were attempting to fish for my bank information by claiming my bill has increased. When I responded with disinterest, the cheeky fellow had the audacity to say, ‘You’re absolutely stunning, why don’t you come a bit closer?’ Quite audacious, isn’t it?

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse, sounded like it was from an Indian call centre. They didn’t even know my name and ended up putting the phone down after a short chat.

I picked up just 'cos the Coventry area code caught my eye, since I’ve got mates there. The call seemed to be from some overseas call centre, and after a bit, some voice with an Asian accent kicked off with a hello. I didn’t hang about, just ended the call straightaway.

This felt like a call from one of those call centres in Pakistan. They said they were calling on behalf of Virgin Media and had some sort of discount offer. Then they started asking for my email and bank details to “confirm” everything. Definitely watch out for this!

Got a call from someone saying they were O2, trying to offer me a discount on my mobile bill. When I said I’d prefer to get the info by email, they didn’t seem too happy about it. I’m just gonna block the number now.
