I received a phone call from someone who introduced himself as 'Daniel', and he had quite a thick Indian accent. He mentioned he was representing Vodafone and offered me a 20% discount without requiring a new contract. When I probed into why this discount couldn’t simply be applied to my account automatically, he claimed he struggled to hear me because of my low voice. I repeated my question a couple of times, but he just went silent. Then he started asking if I was the one responsible for the bill, yet he couldn't confirm my name and abruptly ended the call.
