Got a call from a bloke saying I’d won an £80 hamper from Tesco and Morrison’s, but then he switched it to Tesco and Lidl. He knew my name and address which was a bit creepy. Then he asked what my favourite colour was, saying they’d wrap the hamper in it. He said they'd call back in a few days before the delivery. Oh, and he also asked about my home insurance. Pretty suspicious if you ask me.

I’m not quite sure what the angle is with this one, it definitely felt like a scam but I couldn’t figure out the purpose. They told me I’d won a £50 Tesco voucher and then asked if I was living happily retired and if I owned my own place. When I asked why they needed to know all that, just to send a voucher, the person just hung up on me. Makes me wonder if they’re building up files on people to try and hack their computers or something. I have no clue how they knew my phone number linked to my name and address already. Then I asked which Tesco store I supposedly shopped at, and he mentioned Skipton on Swale, which is miles from me and doesn’t even have a Tesco! Told him to take my details off whatever list he was using and then I just ended the call. Sounds like another dodgy scam to me, and seriously, how did this get past the TPS screening? Proper fail.
