They attempt to extract personal information or create urgency by mentioning suspicious logins or hacking attempts. Many recipients find the calls intrusive, unprofessional, and sometimes offensive, particularly when requests to stop calling are met with abusive language. 9 yearsJust like everyone else, I got a call from a bloke with a heavy accent and all this background noise like a call centre. He claimed to be from the internet company and asked if I'd shared my internet info with anyone. Then said my details might be getting hacked. I asked him which provider he was from, and he said BT, but that’s not my provider. So, I ended the call straight away...9 yearsA bloke called saying he was with BT, going on about some hacking issues. He asked if I understood what hacking meant. I told him I wasn’t savvy with computers and asked if he could leave me his number so my son could call him back. Then, just like that, the line got cut off.BT9 yearsGot a call early Saturday morning, about 8am, from a bloke with a really thick Asian accent claiming to be from BT saying there was some kind of hack on my internet. It was a load of rubbish from the start - when has BT ever bothered to ring me, especially on a weekend? I told him flat out he wasn’t from BT and it was obviously a scam, then he just hung up on me. Proper amateur job if you ask me.BT9 yearsThe minute I picked up, the noise in the background gave it away - sounded like some call centre buzzing about. I caught someone saying they were with ‘Microsoft Windows’, so I reckon it's just another one of those scam calls. When you tell them to quit ringing, they can get a bit nasty with their words. Bet they’ll ring back first thing tomorrow.9 yearsSomeone rang sayin they were from BT internet but I dont even have an account with them. Bit sus if you ask me!9 yearsThis number phoned me again this afternoon, after trying a couple of times earlier this morning. When I answered, the guy spoke with an African accent and sounded like he was working from some call centre. I politely told him to stop ringing me, but instead of being civil, he started hurling awful and really offensive sexual remarks at me. Among other horrible things, he even asked if I had a daughter - I definitely wasn’t about to give him that info! It was all just really shocking and unpleasant.Submit Your Own Report (024 5869 7458)
