Got a call claiming to be from BT, but the number popped up as 'international' on my phone. Like a few others mentioned, the person spoke with a thick Indian accent that was pretty hard to follow. They were talking something about issues with my internet, but I don’t have BT anyway. I told them I'd handle it and then ended the call.

Its driving me mad getting calls from them two times a day, never giving me a chance to say anything. I just tell them off in a way I wouldn't normally put in writing, just to try and make them leave me alone!! I’d never talk to anyone like that usually but I’ve had enough now. Like others have said, it’s really worrying for older folks who might fall for it, I don’t understand how they’re allowed to keep doing this.

I’ve got a number that’s listed as ex-directory at an NHS centre, so really no one’s meant to ring it. Yet somehow, these scam callers keep pestering me anyway.

Every week, we receive calls and when we request our account number, they just cut us off.

Got a call earlier from someone with a really strong Indian accent, couldnt make out a lot but heard something about unauthorised usage of my internet. I ended the call, then he rang again saying the call got dropped. Ended it again and no more calls after that. He said he was from BT, but I’m actually with Sky!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Sky, said my neighbours were piggybacking off my internet. I just told him to buzz off and ended the call.

Got two calls in a row from some so-called 'international' number, and the people answering sounded Indian, claiming they were from BT. They said my IP address was being used by others - what a load of rubbish! Ignored one call and left the other ringing for more than seven minutes. Hopefully, that'll bump up their phone charges!

Got a call from some folks claiming to be from BT, but yeah, total scam obviously. They were pretty annoying and sounded quite rude too.

I got a call from 02450967532 on my BT landline. The person on the other end was Asian and said they were from BT, mentioning some issues with my broadband or computer. Seemed a bit dodgy, like it could be a scam.

Had a call from them attempting to sell something, and honestly, they were quite unpleasant. When I pointed out that it seemed like a scam, they abruptly hung up on me. Such a dishonest approach!

Be wary of a scam originating from India, where individuals are masquerading as broadband technicians. It’s best to avoid any conversation with them.

Typical scam call, watch out. They try to get you to talk about all the issues your computer supposedly has. It’s really just a bunch of fake "errors" - nothing serious! After that, they ask you to install some software that’s meant to fix everything. But really, it’s a trojan virus they’re sneaking in. Don’t fall for it!

Got a call from some call centre in India who said they were from BT. This random bloke didn't give me any proof and started telling me to download some 'super secure' software to protect against hackers. I just said cheers and that I'd have a look later. Then he just lost it and started shouting down the phone. Total spam, just messing about and wasting time.

Claimed to be calling from BT, supposedly based in London, but when I looked into it, the number traced back to Coventry. He rambled about error codes and had the audacity to suggest I log in to my account for him to have a gander at them. When I requested that he send an email to my BT address instead, he abruptly hung up. What a disgraceful tactic!
Absolutely typical of a scam!

Con artists! I told BT about it. Made sure to keep them chatting so they couldn't move on quickly.

Got a call from someone called Justin Smith, sounded Indian, saying my internet would be disconnected for half a year. Claimed he was with BT. I told him straight up it was a scam and hung up. Then he called back, asking why I’d ended the call so quick! What a cheeky bloke. Definitely a scam.

Got a phone call from someone saying he was with BT, going through the same old story about so-called "junk files" on my PC. I told him to hang on a bit and looked up the number - turned out to be a scam, no surprise there.

Got a call today at 1:07 pm, 20th Nov 2017. Some woman named Elana said she was from India and asked if I could send her £50. I told her to shut up and never ring me again. Honestly, how cheeky can these people be? I live in Berkshire, UK.

I picked up the phone and a chap was on the other end. His English was quite shaky, and he claimed to be calling from BT regarding my internet service. I mentioned that I actually don’t have the internet. He then abruptly hung up on me. If he truly was representing BT, he certainly didn't embody politeness!

This was a total scam from overseas, so I’d suggest not answering these calls at all.

Some bloke with an Indian accent rang me claiming he was from BT, saying my internet would be cut off tomorrow because ‘hackers are messing with my IP’. When I said it sounded dodgy, he got all shouty, going ‘Madam, you don’t get it, you’ve gotta sort this now.’ I told him I’d jot down his name and number and ring BT myself to double check. He gave his name as Alex Jones and the number as 020 8123 5206. He wanted me to stay on the line but I politely declined and hung up. No way am I calling that back.

Had some weird bloke ringing who sounded like he was from India, kept saying he’d get my phone disconnected. Honestly, if I managed to catch him, there’s more than just my phone line he’d lose. Feels bad for older folks who might actually believe that rubbish.

Today, me and my elderly mum both got a call. The line was really bad on both ends, and honestly, the person on the phone spoke so poorly that neither of us could make out what they were trying to say.

Had a few calls from a person with an Indian accent saying they're from BT and there’s something wrong with our internet. Problem is, we dont even use BT for our internet, and everything seems fine on our end anyway. Each time we asked for more info, they just ended the call. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

I tried ringing the number they gave me but it just said the number couldn’t be found. Definitely feels like some kind of scam to me.
