Got a call really early from someone claiming to be Microsoft. I told them I've got no Microsoft device at all. Then they asked what kind of computer I use. I told them straight up I don't own a computer. Suddenly, the person got all huffy and started threatening me, saying they’d cancel all my software licenses and block my machine so it wouldn't work anymore. I just said whatever, go ahead.

Got a call today around 3:05 pm from someone saying they were with Microsoft in Reading. When I questioned them, the woman who answered passed me onto a bloke who started being really rude and threatening me and my family. Honestly, it was a terrible and upsetting experience.

This morning at about 8.15, I got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft. I told them I wasn’t convinced and asked for some proof. Then they wanted me to ring a number on my phone. I said I don’t even own one. Getting fed up with the whole thing, I told them not to bother me anymore and for the first time ever, I actually told the bloke to f##k off. He actually hung up! Later on, another call came through from a different number, but when the answering machine picked up, nothing was left on the message. Seems like this is their usual tactic!

some bloke rang me up and kept saying he'd hurt my family if i didn't have someone who doesn't even live here log into my laptop. he was really nasty about it, made me proper frightened. he knew i was only 14 and still kept threatening my family. it was awful.

Got woken up at 7.24 on a Saturday morn, honestly thought something bad had happened. When I finally got to the phone, it had already stopped ringing. After seeing what others said here, I’m keeping the phone close and next time I’ll be quick to tell them to jam it, I’m not into Microsoft or whatever they’re after.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Microsoft. I was a bit suspicious and asked a few questions. Eventually, they gave me a callback number 01182282297, but I couldn't find any info on it. It really reminded me of those common 'Windows support' scams you hear about. The person wanted me to type something into the command prompt, but I asked why and didn’t budge. Then, they just ended the call.

Some bloke rang me claiming to be Steve from Microsoft, talking about my Windows PC. I told him I actually use a Mac and after a bit of back and forth, he finally gave up. Honestly, what a pest of a call.

Got a call at 8:04 from a bloke claiming to be from Manchester about my computer. I told him I was happy he rang because I’d already organised for him to be sent to the place where the dodgy frogs hang out. He just hung up straight away!

I got a call from a lady claiming to be from "Microsoft" about my computer. The way she pronounced "computer" really set off my suspicion. I hung up right away and tried calling back but there was no answer and no voicemail either.

So this woman said she was with Microsoft and I just told her to shove off real loud. I’ve got the BT call blocker on but these idiots seem to have endless numbers to ring from.

Really dodgy call. A bloke claimed my Microsoft registration had been compromised. When I asked how they got my number, he started swearing at me. I told him nicely I’d check with my IT team and then ended the call. He rang back not long after, shouting rude insults like ‘why did you hang up, you f***ing cow? You’re just a f***ing idiot.’ Proper nasty.

Been getting calls from some people claiming they’re from Microsoft, but I’m sure it’s a scam. They ring me way too early, like 7 in the morning! They’ve used loads of different phone numbers too, like one was 02305412210 or something. How come this kind of thing is even allowed? Really frustrating.

The moment they pick up and start chatting, you just know it's one of those scams. Honestly, do they really believe anyone falls for this nonsense? I usually ask 'which computer?' over and over again, just to mess with them, and they end up hanging up. Still, there’s gotta be something we can do to put a complete stop to these calls!

Got this call from someone with a foreign accent claiming to be from Microsoft. I told him I’m retired and still tucked up in bed since it was quite early. Then I just ended the call.

Got a call claiming to be from Microsoft about my PC. I didn’t say a word and waited for them to end the call. Be really careful - they try to get you to log onto a site where they can take control and demand money. Don’t fall for it, absolutely NEVER do what they tell you!

Got a call from someone claiming to be 'Peter Smith' from Microsoft, talking about my software license. I asked a few questions and he ended up giving me a different phone number to ring back on: 01183282287. I didn’t rush, made him hang around for a while. Definitely going to look into that number next. Feels dodgy to me, wouldn’t put much faith in it!

Got a call from this number the other day. A lady with an accent I couldn’t quite place claimed to be from Microsoft and said there was an issue with my computer. I told her I actually only use an iPad. She then insisted I must have downloaded something on my husband’s laptop. When I asked where she was calling from, I think she said Reading. She kept cutting me off, but I told her it was rubbish and just hung up. It’s a bit worrying because I can imagine older people might believe this and end up sharing personal info about their devices.
