Then I ask them to prove who they are from, like the company’s name and where they’re based - they said Microsoft and gave a London address, but it’s all dodgy. I also ask to speak to their manager. I’ve reported this number to my phone and internet provider, but unless they break the law or keep ringing nonstop, there’s not much the company can do about it.London9 yearsGot a call today around 4.40pm and they asked to speak with the “computer owner” without using my name, which always makes me suspicious. When I pushed back, the guy claimed my Windows system had a virus and said Microsoft was trying to warn me. I've been dealing with these annoying calls for over two years now, happening almost weekly. If I hang up or question them, they’ll call back repeatedly every hour and then just hang up when I answer. Usually, it's a different number each time but it's the same kind of scam. Today's caller even warned me he’d ring again tomorrow. And right as I'm writing this, he called once more - I just hung up right away.
