Got a call at 7:07 in the morning claiming to be from Microsoft about my PC. Hung up straight away and then blocked the number. It's clearly a scam - ringing that early just to catch you off guard and confused. Definitely dodgy.

I’d just poured myself a cup of tea when the phone rang, this young woman claiming to be from Microsoft’s Tech Support started chatting and even knew my name. I wasn’t having any of it though, so I cut her off with a quick “You’re not” before slamming the phone down. Didn’t want to hear any more of her nonsense.

When I asked him to verify my name, he outright refused and accused me of talking nonsense. I found his choice of words quite offensive, so I pointed it out. Instead of being reasonable, he just got nastier, which led me to end the call.

A guy called me at 7.13am, sounded foreign, said he was from Microsoft and asked for me by name. I questioned him about the time, where he was calling from, and why he’d ring so early. He said he was in Reading and started work at 6.30am, and that my issue was serious. I told him I didn’t use Microsoft so he must be trying to scam me. He got pretty annoyed and I ended the call.

This number has called us several times but whenever I answer, there's just silence. They rang again early today around half past seven, but still no response from their side. I really wish they would just leave us alone and stop calling.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, speaking with a thick Indian accent. He insisted my computer was compromised, but I told him it wasn’t. What struck me as strange was that he rang my mum’s landline, not my phone. I asked him where he assumed I was, and suddenly the call just cut off. Classic example of those scam calls trying to trick you into installing viruses or stealing info. It’s about time OFCOM did something about these spoofed numbers, it’s well overdue.

I’ve had loads of calls from someone calling themselves a Chinese lady, saying she’s from Microsoft. She rings my landline, telling me my computer’s supposedly packed with viruses and could harm the whole internet. They’ve been ringing so often now it’s almost become a bit of a routine. The tone of her voice changes sometimes, but the aim is always the same - trying to get me to let them access my computer remotely. Trust me, that’s really risky stuff. Honestly, I’d just say don’t even pick up the phone.

Got a call from a woman with a Chinese accent saying she was from Microsoft. I told her Microsoft doesn’t actually call folks like that, and she suddenly started shouting and then just cut me off. Honestly, these scam calls need to be stopped by the authorities, it’s getting ridiculous.

Got a call from this number when I wasn’t home. Figured it might be a bank or something dodgy. Just looked it up on this handy site and looks like others think the same. Definite scam vibes.

Like loads of others have said, this caller had a foreign accent and said her name was Alice. She phoned us really early in the morning and disturbed our sleep! My other half didn’t take her nonsense and told her off pretty firmly. Just a heads up for older folks!

Got a call early this morning at 8:27 on a Bank Holiday from a Portsmouth number I don’t recognise - probably a fake as I don’t know anyone there. Picked up but they just dropped the call straight away. Seems like a scam or some dodgy telemarketer to me. Total rubbish.

Got a call around 3:49 this afternoon, went straight to voicemail and no one bothered to leave a message. Seems like it might be a scam to me!

Just like many others, I got a call from someone named Alice who said she was from Microsoft. She told me my computer was sending error messages and that they’d tried to contact me multiple times but I hadn’t replied. Total scam.

02394-311992 popped up and it was one of those Microsoft scams. I usually tell them I’m still on a Commodore 64 or even Windows 3.11 - they get completely lost trying to respond to that!

I called back but only reached the answerphone, and there was no message waiting. Sounds like it might be some sort of scam.

This bloke claimed to be from Microsoft and said my computer had been sending them error messages for weeks. When I asked which computer he was talking about, he just brushed it off and said it wasn’t important. Then he tried to get me to let him connect to my computer remotely, which felt dodgy so I just ended the call. Totally a scam, no doubt about it.

They rang our home phone at a few minutes past noon, but fortunately, we weren’t in, so I dodged the hassle of encountering that dodgy caller. Honestly, this whole Microsoft nonsense has overstayed its welcome! What’s infuriating is that these fraudsters seem to believe that the people in the UK are as gullible as they are!

On the morning of 21 December 2021, I got a call around mid-morning. I didn’t pick up and let it go to voicemail. But instead of saying anything, the person on the other end just stayed quiet for over a minute. I checked my phone history afterwards and found out this number is linked to a scammer pretending to be from Microsoft.

They tried pretending to be Microsoft, but since I don’t use any Microsoft stuff, it was clear straight away it was a scam.

Received a call without anyone on the line, but it’s clearly from the notorious "Microsoft" scammer numbers. It’s rather transparent to those of us who kicked Microsoft to the curb ages ago. I've now added them to my blocked contacts.

I accidentally picked up this number, normally I dnt even answer if idk who it is. The call ended right away, no one said anything so I don’t know who was on the other end. Saw some posts here that suggest it might be a scam tho.

Received a call at 7:35 this morning. Let’s just say I’m not exactly a morning person! Answered with, “Do you usually ring people at such an ungodly hour?” and then promptly ended the call. What charming individuals!

Just had a bizarre encounter with someone claiming to be "assisting" my 89-year-old father-in-law. They spun a wild tale about his computer being compromised while we were on the phone! They pressured me to log into his system for more details, but oddly enough, they were adamant that I shouldn’t ring them back for confirmation. Classic scam attempt, if you ask me. I ended the call, and wouldn’t you know it, they attempted to reach me again from three different numbers within two minutes. Absolutely outrageous behaviour!

Just got a call today around half past noon to my elderly mum, who’s 81, about her computer. She politely said she doesn’t own one, but the bloke kept going and even told her she was lying! Proper rude and harassing, honestly. Wish I’d caught his name or what company he was from so I could report him to the coppers.

Got a call from someone saying they were Microsoft, claiming there was some sort of issue with my account's security. They wanted me to go online and do exactly what they told me. I said no when they asked to send a text about the problem. They rang me up again after that and it felt a bit dodgy. I looked into my Microsoft account on my own and everything seemed fine and safe.
