Got a call from someone with a foreign accent saying they were from BT about sluggish broadband in the neighbourhood. They wanted to know my download and upload speeds. Since mine are pretty decent, they then asked for the “ping” rate - apparently, that’s how swiftly your BT box talks to the server. When I said it was 19 milliseconds, they claimed that was too slow, which I find completely ridiculous. Watch out for this as it’s clearly a scam. Don’t hand over any bank details!
