someone called claiming to be from vodafone, telling me my number was randomly generated and they couldn’t see my details unless I answered their security questions. when i questioned this, saying any real rep would already have my info, they just ended the call. they couldn’t back up their claim at all.

At half past seven in the evening, some bloke rings up saying he’s from Vodafone - as if anyone answers sales calls that late! Told him I don’t do sales calls after hours and just hung up. If this keeps happening, I’m definitely switching providers!
