I greeted him with a cheerful 'hello', and his response was utterly bizarre, something along the lines of... 'rubbish on your noggin, muck on your mug'... then he fell silent, and I decided to hang up the call.

I’ve received a call from a firm known as SPS (Secure Phone Service), claiming they can help shield me from annoying telemarketing calls for a fee of £50 a year. Honestly, it’s absurd! How on earth can they manage to prevent some unpredictable stranger from dialling my number or stop businesses from reaching out? It feels like a con to me, if I’m honest.
