6 yearsOn 6th August 2020, I got a call claiming to be from Amazon. They somehow got access to my computer and managed to buy gift cards totalling £342.97 from three separate shops. The cards were all sent to an email called billingamazon@aol. Now I’m stuck trying to stop the payments coming out of my bank account. Plus, they’ve blocked the phone number they used. If it was actually me making these orders, why on earth would I send that many gift cards to an email like amazon billing?!?Amazon6 yearsI got a voicemail with a robotic voice saying it's from Amazon Prime, warning me about a dodgy payment for a £375 kayak on my account. Funny thing is, I’d actually been checking out that exact kayak recently. It’s weird how some scammer must’ve seen what I was browsing. I didn’t bother calling back since it seemed off - no legit Amazon team would leave that kind of automated alert. Plus, I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account, so I just knew it was a con.Amazon Prime6 yearsI received a recorded message on my voicemail, claiming to be from Amazon Prime, regarding some suspicious activity on my account related to a £375 kayak purchase. Oddly enough, I had been eyeing the same kayak just a few days prior. It’s like someone out there has been snooping on my internet searches! I chose not to call back, as I find it hard to believe that Amazon Prime would communicate such serious matters through a robotic message. It was pretty clear to me that it was a scam, especially since I don’t even have an Amazon Prime subscription!Amazon Prime6 yearsI picked up and they just dropped the call straight away. Seen some others saying it's dodgy too. Gonna block it for good now.6 yearsmy 88 year old mother in law got a call saying she owed £150 to amazon prime and if she didn’t pay she’d get cut off. they must think people are daft. just put them on block.Amazon Prime6 yearsGot a call pretending to be from Amazon, but it was definitely a scam. Felt a bit dodgy right from the start.AmazonSubmit Your Own Report (023 9316 2414)
