I checked gov.uk and it turns out the number belongs to Company Confidential, specifically THE CALL CENTRE in Portsmouth. They're after people who are confident and motivated to join their team. They have openings for both full-time and part-time jobs, which sounds quite flexible. Plus, they pay weekly, which is pretty handy.

She was asking me loads of questions and as soon as I mentioned how old I was, she just suddenly ended the call.

Had the same thing happen to me, I asked which company it was and if they were some sort of recruitment agency, but she said no and I believe the company was called Eaton or something like that. They said I’d have an interview on Friday at 11am, but the manager was supposed to send me the address by text.

It’s a total scam, they just work off commission and never actually pay you.

Just saw the comments and it clicked for me. There was this young woman who got my info at a job fair in Gosport, talking about some job opportunities. Looks like it’s her ringing me up now. Maybe it wasn't the smartest idea to share my personal info after all.

Honestly, this company is really great!!

Honestly, this company has been the nicest one to contact me up till now. The young women I spoke to were really courteous and respectful on the phone. I’ve just come from an interview with them, so it’s definitely not some sort of scam. Not sure why some folks are so negative here. I’m quite excited to hear whether I got the position! 😊

So far, this is the nicest company that has contacted me; the young women I spoke to were really polite and respectful. They were lovely on the phone as well. I’ve just had an interview with them, so I don’t understand all the bad comments people leave here. I’m excited to hear soon if I got the job 😊

I reckon it’s folks from Gosport, cause that number belongs to some random company I’ve never heard of. Usually, when you leave the job centre, people ask if you want work in town. I said yes once and they told me there’d be training, so I gave them my number. But when they ring you back, it’s just rubbish, really unprofessional and feels like a waste of time.

I found this phone number listed on the government’s universal jobs website under Job ID 36710087, and it’s supposed to be for DRIVER positions. But honestly, there’s no clear way to show that these people are actually scammers. Really dodgy if you ask me.

So this number called me and right in the middle of the chat, the call just dropped out? I rang back but no answer at all. It was about a potential job offer, so now I'm a bit worried 'cause I can't reach them anymore. Should I be worried about this or just let it go and move on? Any advice would be great.

Right after I mentioned how old I am, she just ended the call!?!? Makes me think it might be linked to that JSA thing where they look into whether you're ready for work - seems a bit fishy like a scam.

This dodgy company rang me up twice, first on my home phone then on my mobile. Some woman named Ruby was trying to peddle a fake job offer - total nonsense. Besides her complete ignorance of basic phone etiquette (she was proper rude), she just hung up on me! Ruby's definitely running a scam, so don’t waste your time, she's just a shyster.

No idea where they found my number, but the whole thing rang a bell with a dodgy firm I ran into after a job fair at the Guildhall a few months back. They were recruiting for a door-to-door double glazing sales gig, and instead of doing it officially, they were just grabbing folks as they left the event. When I got this call and told them what I used to do and where, I swear I heard the woman mutter "No bloody good" before she just cut me off... really rude.

My son who has special needs was told by them he could get a job and they even arranged an interview for him. They said no qualifications were needed as training would be given. I phoned up to find out who they actually were but they refused to give any details and just said they would cancel the interview. When I kept asking questions, the person avoided answering. I asked if they were a recruitment firm and was told no. Seems really fishy to me.

Got a call from this number the other day, a woman asked if I was interested in a job. I said yes, and she went on to ask if I was after something permanent or just temporary, then asked my age. After I told her, she just hung up on me! She never mentioned her name or which company she was from. I called back like 11 times before finally getting through, and it was definitely the same woman. When I told her what happened, she said it was probably her manager who called earlier and promised her manager would give me a ring back. Still waiting, and honestly, if waiting was lethal I'd be long gone by now with how unprofessional and ageist this lot are.

Just had a call like this too...?? Couldn't really catch the name of the company since she was mumbling a bit...

They called me on Tuesday about a job interview scheduled for Wednesday at 3pm. When I asked for the address, they refused to tell me over the phone and said the manager would send the details by text on Tuesday afternoon.
