I've had 8 calls from this number over the past three days. Today, I finally picked up and decided to mess with them a bit. The woman greeted me with "Good morning ma'am" and seemed to already know my name, postcode, and even my house number. I told her all that info was wrong. Then she asked if I was in my 40s, 50s, or 60s. I replied, "No, I'm 98." She just said "Oh, take care," and then hung up. Quite the awkward conversation!

I forgot to mention it was someone from PLATINUM SUPERMARKET. When I told her I was 98, almost 100, she just hung up on me.

Ive been getting loads loads of calls from scammers and it’s so annoying! Virgin really needs to step up and do something about it coz I’ve had like 58 calls in just a couple weeks, absolutely ridiculous!

I've been getting a relentless stream of calls from this number, and neither I nor anyone in my family recognise it. The caller is always silent, which makes it even more unnerving.

I've had a similar thing happen, actually. Twice this morning I answered and just a few seconds after saying hello the call dropped on me. From what I've read in other posts, it looks like there might be even more calls coming through later on.

Got a call from some guy with an Asian accent asking if my husband was about. After a bit of chatting, he mentioned he was ringing from something called Platinum Supermarket. I told him straight up I thought it was a scam. Oddly, he just hung up without even trying to argue!

called me with some foreign accent, kept saying my name and asking how I was. I asked what they wanted and basically told them to get lost. bit rude but whatever.

Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent just asking "are you?" I asked back who she was, but she just repeated her name. I asked again who she was and then she cut off. Whenever these calls start, I end up getting loads more ringing later on the same day, so looks like today’s gonna be busy with them again, :(

Today, I’ve had three calls all asking for me by name. Virgin promised no more marketing calls, but obviously not. Sometimes they ring me up to 8 times a day! I’m a pensioner and it’s really upsetting. When I heard my name on the line again, I actually blew a loud whistle to scare them off. I’m definitely switching to a different provider soon. Proper unsettling this is.

This bloke claimed he was ringing from a supermarket, but even after I asked him to say the name again, it was just gibberish to me. Couldn't make head or tail of it. So, I just hung up and put his number straight on the block.
