Got a call from this number and the lady on the line started talking about nuisance calls, offered to stop them for £1.90 each month and wanted to put a direct debit in place. I told her to send me the info in the post so I could have a proper look before deciding. She just agreed and then hung up without even asking for my address! Seems like I’m not getting anything through the post then!

Got a ring from this number today 30/08/2013 around 10:15am, and the guy was asking about what kind of annoying calls I get. He wanted to know if I get those overseas spam calls from India or calls where no one talks at the other end. I told him whenever some unknown caller keeps pestering me and won’t stop, I have a whistle next to the phone that I blow. Then he offered to block all nuisance calls for £1.90 a month. I just said I’ll stick to my whistle. Without even a goodbye, he ended the call. Pretty sure he was trying to dig for credit card info.

A bloke rang me today about my landline, asking what kind of cold calls I’d been getting. He claimed he could block those annoying calls, including ones from call centres in India, but said it would cost me about £1.59 a month. I told him no thanks, mentioning I’d got a new phone that stops calls from hidden or unknown numbers. He just said “Alright then, cheers” and hung up. Later, when I looked up the number online, it came back as some sort of virtual office or something like that. Quite sketchy if you ask me.
