Phone number ☎️ 02392648790 👆 is reported as a scam call pretending to be from the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). Callers often claim they can block nuisance or international calls for a fee, which is not a genuine TPS service. They sometimes provide personal details like address and phone number to appear legitimate, but their main aim is to collect payment or sensitive information. Callers can become aggressive if challenged and may threaten to call repeatedly. The number has been linked to poor English, suspicious international origins, and unprofessional behaviour. It is strongly advised not to engage or provide any personal details, as the actual TPS does not charge for its service. If uncertain, always verify independently before responding.

11 yearsThis number has been ringing me loads recently, and every time it does, it just hangs up as soon as it hits my voicemail. Really annoying!11 yearsI got a call from someone claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service who wanted to speak directly to me, not my husband who answered first. This bloke called himself 'Jordan' and said he could block "all international nuisance calls" forever. He oddly knew our correct home address and phone number, then asked if our phone bill was paid by direct debit. I told him that was none of his business. Then he put someone on the line he said was his boss, 'Peter,' but he sounded just like the first guy. When I kept asking why the payment method mattered, he finally mentioned a "one-off, small fee." I made it clear that the Telephone Preference Service shouldn’t charge anything, and he started getting really annoyed and aggressive. So I just hung up.JordanPeter11 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be the TPS, saying they had to update my details. Total scam, don't fall for it!TPS11 yearsThis number rang me up and the bloke claimed he was calling on behalf of TPS. They tried to get my date of birth. I mentioned I’m already registered with the Telephone Preference Service and that they shouldn’t be ringing me. The caller got quite rude after that and threatened to keep calling me daily. When I asked where they were calling from, they gave me some Dorset address, but the line sounded like it was coming from abroad. Really poor behaviour all round.Telephone Preference ServiceDorset11 yearsWhat a relief we have caller ID these days!
