I received a rather dubious recorded message that claimed to be from Amazon, stating that a payment of £300 had been processed. If I hadn’t authorised it, I was instructed to press 1. Naturally, I didn’t engage and hung up straight away. I was cautious enough not to rush into checking my account, as I feared they might be trying to fish for my login details or something worse. Just wanted to share this experience in the hope it might aid others in dodging these deceitful scams that prey on unsuspecting folks.
