Phone number ☎️ 02392561000 👆 is reported as a number linked to IBM UK's IT support and customer service, including helpdesk and technical assistance, particularly for remote access and open tickets. Some users associate the calls with legitimate IT queries, often related to workplace issues or companies like Currys PC World or Dixons Carphone. However, there are multiple reports of the calls being in unclear English, seemingly from overseas, which has raised suspicions of phishing or scam attempts. Others describe the calls as nuisance or cold calls, with occasional instances where the caller denies knowledge of previous contact. Due to mixed experiences and some confusion over ownership of devices, callers are advised to exercise caution, verify the legitimacy of the call, and avoid sharing personal information unless certain of the caller's identity.

This number has rung me twice now. I actually do remote work for Currys PC World. A couple of days back, I reached out to IBM about some issues I was having with my VPN for working from home because of Covid. From what I understand, their support techies are based in India.

I got a call from Currys PC World IT support about a ticket I had raised. They were quite quick to reply which was good. It was nice to hear from someone on the helpdesk sorting out the issue I reported.

Got a call from this number the other day. It was a woman with an Indian accent, but I struggled to catch what she was saying. She said she was from some IT team and was calling about some software on my laptop. The thing is, I don’t even have a laptop! So, I told her that and ended the call right away. Haven’t heard from them since. Not sure what their game was.

This number rang me earlier today, and there was a woman on the line with a strong Indian accent, chatting something about the UK IT team and a program supposedly installed on my laptop. Problem is, I don’t have a laptop at all. It all sounded dodgy, so I just told her straight up I didn’t have one and ended the call. She hasn’t tried calling again since - guess she moved on!

this looks like it's the main ibm exchange in portsmouth, but i'm pretty sure scammers have copied the number for phishing purposes.
