Earlier today, I received a call on my home phone from a chap with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be associated with BT. He went on about how my broadband had been compromised and insisted he needed urgent access to my computer to fix it. Honestly, do they really think we're that gullible? It’s obviously a scam!

Got a couple of calls today claiming my computer was hacked because of something to do with Microsoft Office. The guy wanted me to do some stuff on my PC with him guiding me. Whenever I asked stuff that was a bit beyond, he just threw around loads of tech jargon to confuse me. He also mentioned programs that I don't even have installed. That’s when I figured it was probably one of those scams where they show fake ‘problems’ on your computer and then push you to pay for some bogus fix. I ended the call sharpish. If you get this, just hang up straight away, it’s dodgy.
