I got a recorded call from a bloke with a posh English accent who said he was from BT. He told me my internet was being cut off because supposedly it had been used for some dodgy bank transaction. The guy kept repeating “press 1 now, press 1 now” to try and rush me into talking to someone. He read out a long string of numbers that he said was my internet account, probably to sound legit. It was pretty clear it was a scam, so I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.
