Got a call but my phone flagged it as potential spam so I just let it ring. Loads of these dodgy callers just ring and then drop the call, they’re only checking if the line’s active so they can flog the number to marketers.

This number popped up on my phone, but I just let it ring without picking up after I had a quick look for reviews about it here. It’s now blocked on my device. I never answer calls from unknown numbers anymore. What’s going on with the world that we’ve got to be so careful all the time to avoid scams? Also, funny thing is, a lot of the spam emails I get lately seem to come from the US. Anyone know why that is?
