tried ringing them back but the line was busy all the time, never got through.

Got a call on my home phone at 11:44 this morning. I ignored it, letting it ring out for about 15 seconds before it hung up. Then I used 1471 to check who it was and looked it up online - turns out it’s a scammer trying to con people again! I’ve had quite a few calls like this around the same time before. Not only did I block the number, but I also reported it to the ICO. Thinking of contacting my MP next to make them aware as well.

My elderly father received several calls from this number. Each time, the caller would hang up as soon as he answered. The final call was from a woman speaking with an accent that sounded either Indian or Pakistani. She asked specifically for my father, but when he inquired about her purpose, she just disconnected the call.

It was a woman ringing up asking for my mum's birth date. I've told mum a few times now, if the caller ID doesn’t show someone familiar, she should just ignore the ring.

They claimed to be from some claims advisory group or something. I told them I hadn't made any claims recently. After that, they just went silent and then abruptly ended the call.

Typical scam stuff! You’d think they’d tire of it by now, but nope. Every time you block one number, they just switch to another and keep going.

Just had some bloke ring me up, ranting about my account being hit with bank fees by mistake. Told him flat out to jog on and maybe have a word with his mum about what kind of job he's actually got.

My mother-in-law mentioned she’s had a few dodgy calls where the person started chatting about her bank details, so she just ended the call straight away. This number came up recently. Can’t say for sure what was said though, but if she cut them off, there’s gotta be a good reason for it.

I got a call from someone claiming to be part of a government agency, telling me that the banks had wrongly charged me on some loans. They mentioned they'd post a cheque to my home, but said a lawyer would call me later to explain the payment details. Sounds a bit dodgy to me, like a scam.

Someone called asking for my late mum, so I told them she’d died and they just hung up. Felt like a total scam, as always. Then, not long after I looked up the number online, they called again - definitely suspicious timing if you ask me.
