Got a ring from this number earlier, someone saying they're with O2 and that they needed to move my number to some other system. I just told them to bog off.

So, on the 18th of July, I got a call on my spare pay-as-you-go mobile, not my primary number that I use for banks and important stuff. I didn’t pick up since my phone was on vibrate and I was busy at work, so didn’t notice it ringing. I’m in London, and today’s 25th July 2018. What struck me as odd is that HMRC numbers usually begin with 033, so this call seemed off, just like others people have mentioned here.

luckily, my phone signal was rubbish so the automated voicemail i got was all jumbled up, but I could just about catch hmrc, a number and some warning about stuff happening if i didnt get back to them. I rang hmrc myself to check and turns out it was definitely a scam.

This is officer Denis Grey speakin. If you don't reply, prepare for legal action. You can reach me at 02392160245. These guys are nothing but vultures, trying to pick on the vulnerable or anyone gullible enough to fall for it. Harassment and threats all around, be warned.

About an hour back, I got a call from this number saying they were from hmrc, but it was just a robotic message. Can't believe this is the second time in the same year it's happened!

Got a call from some "officer" Denis Grey at HM Revenue & Customs - what a load of rubbish. Funny thing is, Denis sounds like a lady, so not sure what's going on with that identity. Then she goes and tells me to have a nice day right after threatening me with all sorts of legal trouble if I don't reply. Proper weird!

Got another automatic call today, supposed to be from the police saying they’re contacting me for HMRC. They warn that if I don’t get back to them, there’ll be serious consequences. This has been happening daily for about a week. Today they switched it up and rang from a totally different number but the message was exactly the same, no mention of my name at all. It’s clearly a scam. Don’t pick up or ring back either of these numbers: 0239216024502921286570.

I've had this number call me several times now. Definitely a scam, best to just hang up and not bother with it.
