They were one of those ambulance chasers. As soon as they saw there was no money to be made, they just ended the call. They kept ringing loads before I finally got fed up and picked up.

Once you engage with them, it's all about flogging you an insurance plan for a monthly fee (like £6.50 for a fridge freezer). It’s an utterly underhanded sales tactic, to be honest.

the call came from ao.com, and in my case it was just them checking in about a product i bought. i thought they might try to pitch some kind of extended warranty eventually, but i ended the call before it got that far. overall no issues and it’s fine to pick up if they ring.
