I received a call from this number on the 23rd of December 2010, claiming to be associated with BT. They mentioned they could help us with nuisance calls, apparently free of charge. It all struck me as rather dubious, so we played along for a while. Eventually, they inquired about our Sky dish, which left us puzzled. When we asked why that was relevant, the caller mentioned it related to their records. I mean, it was quite clear she had no ties to BT at all. Despite her attempts to argue otherwise, we decided to end the conversation.

Received a silent call, and it’s almost certainly linked to those scammers from Mumbai. It's rather disconcerting to think that these characters might be feeding information to burglars here in the UK, essentially building a profile on you if you choose not to answer these dodgy calls. It’s concerning, and it certainly feels more sinister than what the authorities would have us accept. I thought I was on a block list to avoid these pesky scam calls, yet the powers that be in the UK insist they can't do much about it. Quite alarming, really!

We've been receiving persistent calls from an Asian-sounding chap who seems intent on hurling abuse at my wife and me. Strangely enough, it feels like the same individual also calls from the number 08902289045. Quite distressing, to say the least!

Hi there! I’ve experienced the exact same thing. I received calls from a few names that I recognised, so I decided to give those numbers a ring using my BT line.

I received a call from this number earlier today, claiming our computer was transmitting viruses. Interestingly, for the last few weeks, there’s been an Asian gentleman who seems to ring up regularly, insisting that there are individuals who can rectify any virus issues on our machine. Apparently, they have some sort of access to reports on their database concerning our computer. In any case, I simply hung up.
