Somebody called saying they worked for Imperial Telecoms and could help cut down my line rental charges. I told them I’m not the one who pays the bill. Then they asked, "So you’re not the number’s owner?" I said no, and they just ended the call straight away. This is actually the second time I’ve had a call from Imperial Telecoms today, but each one came from a different phone number.

Got a call earlier with a recorded voice in an American accent claiming to be from BT. They said our internet was going to be cut off today because of some security issue in California. It was pretty clear it was a dodgy scam, so I just ended the call straightaway.

Like a bunch of others here, I got a prerecorded message in an American accent saying our phone line had been hacked or something related to a California event. The message was a bit garbled, maybe on purpose, so I couldn’t really catch what it was about. Figured it was probably some kind of scam trying to scare me, so I just deleted the message straight away.
