I've had the same number ring me twice in the past forty-eight hours, and it's always a woman speaking with a rather thick accent from the Far East. She introduced herself as Jessica or a name that sounded quite British. Strangely enough, she had my full name and address, claiming to be representing the UK Preference Service or something of that sort; her words were quite muddled. She started with, "I only need to ask you a couple of questions, alright?" When I responded with a puzzled "What?", she just repeated it verbatim, indicating she was clearly reading from a script. When I pushed back with, "No, that’s not alright. How did you get my number?", she abruptly ended the call.
