Got a call from 02382 720927, a bloke voice told me I’d supposedly signed up for green energy or something. I told him flat out I hadn’t. Then he tried to ask me a bunch of questions, but I cut him off with a sharp no. As soon as I started talking, he just hung up on me. Looked up the code afterwards and it’s from Latur in Maharashtra? That’s miles away from here! I blocked the number and the whole code, feels like one of those dodgy scam calls for sure.

Got a scam call, it was one of those annoying automated robots pretending to be a real person but on a really scratchy line. They kicked things off by claiming I was eligible for some solar panel funding... total scam.

It was a woman talking but the line was terrible. I could only catch a few bits, one of them was 'householder'. I hung up straight away. Normally, I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise.

I got a call from a lady whose voice was all crackly, asking if I could hear her. It’s a total audio scam trying to catch you saying YES so they can record it. If this happens to you, just stay silent and hang up straight away.

I received a rather dubious call on my work phone, where the caller claimed I was over 70 and urgently required a medical alert system. They droned on with a script, attempting to fish for my bank details to initiate a direct debit, which I swiftly declined. The persistence was unreal; they wouldn’t let up and even attempted to peddle two so-called complimentary medical alerts, each costing an absurd £1.90 daily. It's astonishing how insistent some of these callers can be!

Some bloke called saying he’s aware of my health issues and that I’m past 60. How on earth does he know that? He claimed he was selling an emergency alarm with a discount... yeah, as if. Blocked the number straight away.

Some guy calling himself Sam, said he was from a nearby medical firm. He mentioned I qualified for a free emergency alarm. Then he said it’d be just £1.90 a day. He then just ended the call.

I received a call from Sam, our healthcare assistant, who’s attempting to peddle medic alert bracelets. Firstly, it came through as an out-of-area number, which was a bit of a red flag! Secondly, when I answered, there was this awkward silence that dragged on for a good three and a half minutes without any response before the call just cut off. I've now added that number to my blocked list.

Got a call from a guy named Sam who said he was a health professional trying to sell me a medic alert pendant. He claimed to know I have a health issue, but I was like, where did you get that info? I work for the NHS myself. As soon as I questioned him, he just ended the call. Blocked straight away!

They called my landline about some medical issue connected to an alarm. I spoke with a man but he didn’t tell me his name. He started with “good afternoon, how are you feeling?” When I said I’m alright thanks, I asked where he got my number from and then he just hung up.

At the age of 75, I consider myself to be in fairly decent health and my mind is still quite alert, I’d say! Recently, I received a call on my landline from a company claiming to be ‘A Health Line’. They mentioned that they had information about certain medical conditions I supposedly have, which would make me eligible for an emergency buzzer I could use if I found myself in a spot of bother. I promptly informed them that I did not require such a device and attempted to inquire about the specific medical issues they believed I had. They abruptly apologised for any inconvenience caused, wished me a lovely day, and hung up before I could get another word in. Quite baffling, really!

Received a rather peculiar phone call from what claimed to be a health firm hawking medical alert devices. I must say, the experience was quite amusing! I discovered that if you refrain from giving a definitive ‘yes’ or ‘no’, the robocall gets befuddled by your responses. It felt a bit like a scene from a Norman Collier sketch; at one point, I declared that I was merely twelve years old, but the automated system just couldn’t grasp it. After a couple of amusing minutes, they decided to cut the line. At least I managed to occupy a bit of their time!

I've been getting the cold shoulder over the line - nothing but a complete hush except for the odd scratching noise. Quite peculiar, if you ask me, and then suddenly, they just hung up!

I received a call from a number I wasn't familiar with, so I chose to let it ring. No message was left afterwards, which makes me suspect it might be a dodgy call or perhaps a scam.

The caller claimed to represent a windows and doors business, under the impression that I was the owner of the property. Once I informed them that I wasn't, they abruptly ended the call.

Received a call from a window firm regarding some sort of scrappage scheme. They just rambled on without letting me get a word in edgewise. After trying to express my lack of interest, I decided it was best to hang up.

I chose not to pick up when that number rang me. I had a look at my landline caller ID and then decided to do a quick search online, which led me to your brilliant site, 'Who called me?'. The comments provided are incredibly helpful. I'm really grateful for your service-it's such a relief to have a resource that aids us in avoiding those pesky nuisance and scam calls!

I received a call from someone claiming I had a health issue, and they were inquiring if I wanted a free alarm bracelet or necklace. Apparently, while the items themselves were complimentary, there was a fee associated with enrolling in the alarm service. When I rang them back to inquire how they obtained my number, their automated message mentioned that I had previously expressed interest in double glazing. Clearly, this is a scam.

A chap called me earlier claiming that I had certain health issues and mentioned I could receive a complimentary medical pendant, just in case I took a tumble. However, as soon as I inquired about how he obtained my phone number, he promptly disconnected. Seems like it’s a bit dodgy, if you ask me.

I received a call from a nearby healthcare service regarding an emergency pendant I was supposedly eligible for. They had me on some sort of list but couldn’t provide my name, which I found rather puzzling. In the end, I decided to end the conversation.

I received a call from someone named Sam, who claimed to be a healthcare worker. They mentioned that I qualify for a complimentary medical alert system since I'm over 70 and live in a specific postcode. However, they were rather evasive about their location or the source of my number. Seemed a bit dodgy if you ask me.

I had an encounter with an NHS staff member who mentioned their alert system was well-informed about me. However, they never referred to me by name and kept probing to discover my age. In the end, they threw in the towel when I refused to share any details.

I had a bloke named Sam ring me up, claiming to be a local healthcare professional. Seemed a bit dodgy, if you ask me, as he was clearly reciting some sort of script. I posed a question, but he completely brushed it aside, insisting I was entitled to a free SOS pendant-though he insisted I'd have to cough up for the postage. I tried to get him to heed my query, but he just kept repeating his lines. Frustrated, I decided to end the conversation and hung up.

The call kicked off with "Can you hear me clearly?" - a bit patronising, really, as if they were specifically trying to reel in the older crowd. The chap mentioned he worked in the health sector nearby and claimed I qualified for a medical alert pendant. I casually mentioned my role managing sheltered housing within the local council and how I was quite familiar with such devices. Strangely enough, as soon as I brought that up, he abruptly hung up. It left me pondering how he even obtained my number, considering it’s registered with the Telephone Preference Service.

The person on the other end seemed to be a pre-recorded voice or perhaps an AI. It didn’t respond to any queries I had. They mentioned something about a medical alert bracelet, but I’m not keen on that at all.

Absolutely! I kept reiterating that I was sorted with one already, yet he just wouldn’t let up and spoke right over me. In the end, I decided it was best to just disconnect the call.

I received a call featuring an English accent, touting panic alarms aimed at the elderly. The whole thing had a bit of an NHS vibe to it, but it was evident this wasn’t the real McCoy. It felt like I was listening to some sort of automated message, as it just rambled on without any interaction. Quite off-putting, really!

Somebody rang me saying they were a local healthcare worker named Sam, telling me I qualified for a free alarm button because of a health issue. When I tried asking questions, they just ignored them and kept going with the same spiel - sounded like a pre-recorded message with gaps for replies. I ended the call after a few lines. Definitely a scam, but I didn’t stick around to find out what they really wanted.

Picked up a landline call about solar from a polite young bloke with no accent, while at the same time got a mobile call with a strong Indian accent pushing me to switch my phone! Heard a woman, maybe his mum or a boss, shouting at him in the background to hold me on the line! Blocked both numbers, but they keep coming from other lines - often I spot the same voice and their usual script. I just tell them I’m not interested like last time... but it’s like talking to a brick wall!
