Started off with loads of personal questions like if I owned my home or rented privately, whether I lived with family, my age, and even asked who my life insurer was. When I tried to ask why they needed all that info, they just brushed me off and didn’t explain anything properly. I told them I wasn’t sure which insurer I had and next thing, they just ended the call. Made me really uneasy about whether they’d get hold of any real info or not.

When it’s a recorded message, I usually let it play out fully so it racks up the cost for them, and if I manage to talk to someone I try to waste as much of their time as I can.
