So today I got a call from someone who said he was Sam from Currys, trying to pitch some offer. Honestly, I struggled to catch what he was saying because of his thick accent. On Saturday 15th January 2022 around 4pm, I got a call from someone saying they were representing Carphone Warehouse. They tried to sell me a contract for £100, asking for my email to send the info. I never agreed, didn’t give them my email or address, yet they said the phone would be sent the next day. No idea how that was supposed to happen! If a call from this number happens, on your mobile or landline, and they say they're from Carphone Warehouse, just ignore and report it. I checked online and the real Carphone Warehouse starts their number with 0370 *** **65.

Got a call at about 12.55pm on the 14th of January, 2022. The person on the line had a strong Indian or Asian accent which made it quite tricky to catch everything they were saying. There was a lot of background noise too, sounded like it was coming from a call centre. They kept going on about some phone offer, and I caught bits like "50% discount" and even something about credit scores. The caller acted like they knew my name but wouldn’t actually say it when I asked. Definitely one of those unsolicited cold calls trying to push a deal I never asked for.

I think they claimed to be from 'Currys Mobile', or at least that’s what I thought I heard. When I tried to confirm the name, they just said ‘yeah’. The caller was hard to understand and there was that annoying few second lag before they spoke after I answered. Proper frustrating! 😤
