The person on the line claimed to represent Carphone Warehouse, offering me a shiny new contract. They insisted that all I needed to do was fork out £100 upfront. They then requested my email address to send through the contract details, but I wasn’t having any of it. They assured me that a handset would be dispatched the very next day, but that seems utterly baffling since I hadn’t provided them with either my address or email. Should a parcel somehow show up, I’ll simply refuse it. If you happen to receive a call from this number claiming to be connected to Carphone Warehouse, do yourself a favour and hang up immediately.
